In the Schurgers group, we are dedicated to unraveling cellular and molecular mechanisms driving cardiovascular remodelling and its impact on cardiovascular health and ageing. Our team focuses on understanding how ageing influences diseases such as atherosclerosis, arteriosclerosis, aneurysm formation, rupture and dissection and the role of monogenetic diseases leading to cardiomyopathies.
